When the weather is nice I like taking the ‘waterbus’ to the villages of Hemiksem, located upstream,
or Lillo, downstream towards the port.
This water bus leaves every half hour from Steen, next to the tourist office.
You can get off at various places, take a walk in the picturesque villages of Lillo, Hemiksem, Bornhem.
Take a nice walk, have a nice meal. You are away from busy Antwerp for a while.
You can also take the bike on the boat and then explore all these places by bike.
Antwerp is the second biggest port in Europe.
